What does it mean to be gender-variant?

Gender-Variant persons express their gender in a way that does not match some or all of the social expectations that typically correspond to their assigned sex.

Gender-Variantsometimes described as genderqueerencompasses gender identities other than man or woman. This can include overlapping gender identities, having two or more genders (bigender, trigender, pangender), being without gender (nongendered, genderless, agender, neutrois), moving between two genders (genderfluid), nonbinary, or a third gender/other gender.
